A review of The Real McCoy by R McKendrick written on Tuesday 29th of May 2012
The food is nice I suppose but the portions are quite small. I asked for a small side salad once with a pasty and was told I could have it this once but not to ask again (mortified), even though I was more than willing to pay for it. This, plus their failure to offer items like onions rings and battered mushrooms (I asked the owner once why he didn't do such items and he told me that he didn't need to as they were extra hassle plus he was making enough money) means that I travel to the ormeau road to get my weekly chippy where I receive larger portions and more of the stuff I like..
